The Club held a training evening on Thursday 8 June in a wood near York.
We are grateful to Lindsay Burgin for allowing us to use the wood and for working with us to prepare two areas for our trainers, Paul Hasney and Becki Thistle .
During the evening the training concentrated on using the woodland, rides and ditches to allow the dogs and handlers to experience the unique terrain that a shooting wood offers. With two small groups having an hour with each trainer, there was plenty of opportunity to retrieve in a very different environment.
Our next event is a KC Working Test on 25 June at Great Kelk for puppies, Novice and Open dogs.
The new King Charles 111 Coronation salvers will be awarded to the winners in each category.
