REPORT AND RESULTS: VYWRC 12 Dog Novice A/V Retriever Stake 1 held at Quarry Farm, Westerdale on Saturday, 26 November 2022
The Vale of York Working Retriever Club held its first Field Trial of the season at Quarry Farm, Westerdale, nr Whitby, by generous invitation of Mr and Mrs Richard Findlay, his family and the members of Westerdale Shooting Syndicate. Judging the 12 Dog Novice A/V Retriever Driven Stake for the day were :

Paul Hasney
Brian Dodsworth
Andy Curtis.
Thankfully the weather was kind this year and following a good show of birds throughout the day the Guns responded and put sufficient game down for all those running, resulting in some lovely retrieves by all competing.
The judges were able to make their decisions – which were as follows:
1st Labdom Quinn handled by Jason Barnes
2nd Ingdalehowl Back in Time handled by Andy Brook
3rd Claybrow Tranquil Lass handled by Arthur Telfair
4th Questeleet Persephone Dee handled by Godfrey Lowe
Gun’s Choice went to Billingscar Shot handled by Trevor Linfoot

The day ended with soup, sarnies and smiles all round.
