NOVICE GUNDOG WORKING TEST FOR A/V RETRIEVER

The Vale of York Working Retriever Club held their first working test of 2024 at Studley today. Huge thanks to the Landowner, Mr Julian Fenton, and Head Keeper, Mr Andrew Richards, for very kindly allowing us to hold the test on amazing ground.
Judges for the day were Paul Stogden (B3661), Margaret Pearce (NP), Brian Dodsworth (NP) and Anthea Shelley (NP).
Four static tests were devised which stretched both handlers and dogs alike – two retrieves at each consisting of a mix of marks, water and blinds with a dose of “walking to heel” for good measure.
Huge congratulations and very well deserved to all in the awards – they were as follows:
1st Liverycroft Billie Jo handled by Sheila Tait
2nd Maplecrest Elfin handled by Charlotte Brown
3rd Thunderlands Walter at Pazanne handled by Susan Springett
