Junior Handler Working Test, Scurry and Fun Morning

We have now secured a date for our Junior Event at Castle Howard to be held on

Saturday 30 July

For the four Working Tests, we plan to hold classes for several age groups up to and including 15 years of age, solo handlers and handlers assisted by an adult, family dog and dog not owned by family but with owner’s permission.

In addition, we plan scurries for juniors and adults.

The entry fee is £5 each for competitors and spectators (under 3 years free) to include refreshments (hopefully a BBQ!) at the end of the event. No additional charge for the Working Tests.

We need to have a minimum number of juniors to proceed and so we ask you to register your interest with the number of children by 2 July 2022 to Tracy Dodds, our Junior Secretary by e-mail tadbookworm@yahoo.co.uk or Claire Carvis, our Chairperson by e-mail cmcarvis@btinternet.com

Members and non-members welcome. Final details will be sent out in early July.

Jane Jacob, our long-standing and founder Committee member has run our Junior section for many years. She retired from the Committee yesterday evening at our AGM and the Club looks forward to continuing to support our Juniors as she has done so admirably and encourage them into our sport. We wish Jane a very happy “retirement”!
